Mastery

“Simple” and “stupid” are not synonyms.

Truth is always found by seeing the simplicity in apparent complexity.  Once I see the simplicity, I realize that complexity is just an illusion.  Things are so simple, in fact, that each realization is a profound lesson in humility: How could I have been so blind to the obvious?

I would be wise to be humble still… still not seeing the simplicity before my eyes.  Complexity is an illusion, always.

When things seem complicated, I still have more to learn.

  1. Richard William Posner says:

The perceived complexity of many things is manufactured. Mountains of esoterica and meaningless jargon are created purposed to discouraging curiosity and keeping the uninitiated at a distance.

Economics is one of the best examples.
