A Meditation on Life: Infancy

After a painful and miraculous entrance into the world… a world that I did not create… my early years are completely un-remembered… at least to my conscious mind.

Totally dependent on my caretakers for my survival, my developing body and brain were molded by each sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch I was exposed to… day after day after day… a twig bent this way or that… for better or worse.

My unconscious is still full of associations from this hidden time… hard-wired into a brain that has the power to hijack my behavior in adulthood… still.
