A Meditation on Life: The Mystery

Thrust into an unfathomable universe, I am at a complete loss to explain the existence of a single proton, much less the purpose of a billion galaxies.

Yet here I am… a riddle even to myself.

So, why am I here?

  1. When we cannot know, or haven’t reached the place where we could know we must work with what we already know. In our case, just looking over this one small, chaotic, dangerous world we should be able to figure out that we are here to supply what is missing: compassion. As you say, it is that simple, and that hard.
