A Meditation on Life: Finding Myself

Imagine, if you can, the utterly astonishing moment a human being discovers that he has “lived” for decades without knowing that he could be somebody.

Imagine the embarrassment of realizing that he did not know this already.

Imagine the anguished regret over so many dreams unpursued, much less unfulfilled.

Then imagine the pure joy of his new-found liberation…

… until…

… its buoyancy is confronted by a sobering realization: This is when the never-ending burden of becoming a person really begins.
