A Meditation on Life: If I Were a Rich Man

Happiness is possible when the kinds of things I care about evolve from things to possess, collect, consume, control, and flaunt to “things” that aren’t things at all…

… things to experience, enjoy, understand, master, create, contribute, and share.

And, as my need for possession evaporates, paradoxically EVERYTHING belongs to me… the rising sun, the birds and the bees, the crashing waves, the moonlight, the sound of music, the smiles of children, and countless other miracles.

And I realize just how wealthy I truly am.
