Give Me a Reason
The reason I fail to achieve a challenging goal or to break an unhealthy habit…
… is not that I am stupid or lazy.
… is not that I am untalented.
… is not that I am a quitter or a procrastinator.
… is not that I lack discipline or will power.
The real reason is lack of something infinitely deeper, higher, and more fundamental: clarity of purpose.
And so, one of my tasks as a human being is to find something to care about…
so much so that I consider it a privilege to suffer for it.
