A Meditation on Faith: Man In Search of a Soul, Part II

Sincere self-reflection and simple observation of other living creatures clearly demonstrate…

… that consciousness is nothing more and nothing less than the experience of what one’s eyes, ears, muscles, bones, heart, stomach, brain, and other organs are doing at the time.

That said, it’s quite magical… dare we call it miraculous… that Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, and Nitrogen molecules, if combined in sufficiently complex and particular arrangements, produce something we all experience as consciousness.

And nobody has a clue how… or why.
