What does it take to transform life from something that merely happens to me to something that happens because of me?
The answer, of course, is as simple as it is challenging.
All it takes is the guts to live like I deserve to be alive… the conviction and confidence to live my hopes, dreams, and deeply-held values out loud… the audacity to project upon my world, in word and deed, my visions of truth, beauty, and goodness… the wisdom and courage to stop praying for miracles and to start being the miracle.
Easier said than done.
The truth always is… so very easy to understand, so very hard to do.

A uniquely burdened and blessed citizen of the world thinking and acting out loud!
Profound insights, Frank, simply yet eloquently-said.

Unfortunately most of us become end users in all aspects of our lives. Innovation is reduced to a select few. Most people would love to do something important or with excellence, but don’t have the drive to get around d to it. I hear “I would love to do that” from nearly everyone, but they never even give it a try, let alone put in the time it takes to be extraordinary. Great series Frank. I’ve enjoyed sharing this with you.

Indeed, Jim. To your point, it took me decades to realize that I was little more than a cork in the ocean… decades to realize I’d given all my power away to the preachers, politicians, and other snake oil salesmen… decades to realize that I could BE somebody. I am still digging myself out of that hole, a wee bit each day, and urgently trying to make up for lost time.
Part of that rebirth and coming out is writing with the hope of inspiring others to follow suit by recognizing that they, too, have more power (and responsibility) that they realize.
Anyway, thanks a bunch for your thoughtful commentary and engagement along the way. Knowing that people like you exist gives me hope for all us. Thanks and peace, man.

Wow, George… Not sure how to respond to your appreciation and honesty except to say thank you for the vote of confidence… and hoping that we all find what we need. Cheers!
