Free Will, Part 3
My first act of faith is to commit myself to FREEDOM.
And I commit myself to FREEDOM not on logical, but on moral grounds.
I commit myself to FREEDOM because I refuse to be reduced to a mere effect in an indifferent universe.
I commit myself to FREEDOM because, without it, all talk of character, virtue, ethics, and love is nonsense.
I commit myself to FREEDOM because rejecting it relinquishes my power and responsibility.
I commit myself to FREEDOM because every attempt to escape from freedom causes me pain.

A uniquely burdened and blessed citizen of the world thinking and acting out loud!
Mark Twain, I like him btw, in one of his many works, argues that character, courage are results of training. No amount of willing would make a coward brave but introduce training, say in the army or an element of shame and the results will surprise you.

Thanks a bunch for sharing, M. I like Twain, too, and agree that we are all trained animals to a larger degree than most of us are willing to admit.

Hell yeah Franko! That’s the kind of faith I can live with.
To be is to live—
Life unshackled and freely
Unchain human thought—
