Fear of Authority, Part 1

One reason the world is so jacked up…

… is that billions of humans continue to think, believe, feel, and do exactly what the preachers, politicians, and other snake oil salesmen have trained them to think, believe, feel, and do.

  1. May I express dissent? In the case of right-leaning politicians, of late, I think they are more inclined to follow the masses than have the masses follow them. Look at Trump’s comments before running for president and after. He clearly pandered to the primary base. Now the rest of the GOP has followed Trump’s lead because of his success. Preachers, I don’t know. It’s been an awfully long time since I spent any significant time in an organized religion.

    1. I have no objections to your dissent, old friend. Of course it begs the question of how those being pandered to got there in the first place.

  2. Does part 2 have something to do with why we all put them there in the first place? I think when we lose our perceived need of them they will become simply humans in a sea of other humans. A hopeful thought 🌄
