Map of Patagonia
Patagonia is not a country, but the vast and diverse region of southern South America that spans Argentina and Chile. Bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west and Atlantic Ocean to the east, Patagonia encompasses the southern Andes, lakes, fjords, rainforests, glaciers, deserts, and steppes… and is cross cut by three renown waterways: the Strait of Magellan, Beagle Channel, and Drake Passage.

All right! You beat me! The furthest South on the globe I’ve ever been to was Bariloche…
To think that we were almost there with you on this trip. I’m so glad you got to see it. Your photos are amazing. I’m enjoying all of your travel pics and stories. Geez, you have seen a lot of the world and you’ve documented it so well through your photos. Sherry
Thanks a million for the kind words of appreciation, Sherry. Yes, alas, we were SO CLOSE to doing the Patagonia thing together. At least we had Nepal. And it is my honor to still be in touch with you and super Dave all these many years. All the best to you both in travels and life, sent with a big hug!
I remain in awe, Frank, of how much of the world you have seen and experienced!! I love looking through all the photos you are sharing, and continuing to share, of all these wonderful places and adventures!
Thanks a million for cheering me on and digging my photo essays, Anita. Your vote of approval means more than I can express. I count myself beyond privileged to have the time and means to see the world as I have and to learn so many lessons I could have learned no other way. Sending you a big hug!
Congratulations on your travels, you are amazing and your photography is spectacular. This looks like some serious backpacking and hiking.
Thanks a million for the kind words of appreciation and for cheering me on, Wayne. I definitively won the lottery by having the time and means to see the world and learn from it as I have. All the best, man.
