Well, Frank, while I might be ok with you doing your own reckoning, I wouldn’t want this practice to apply widely. Think about the folks we can both name at the top of the pyramid. Would we want them to be exempt from police and courts of law? The fact that their positions in the world allow some of this demonstrates the problem.
Oh my, yes indeed, Gerald. I hear you loud and clear and am in 100% agreement with you. (I hope the lurkers realize I am speaking only for myself in this series). Alas, the world is full of bad actors who need to be reigned in… using violence in some cases. Unfortunately, all it takes is one in a position of coercive power to ruin the lives of millions.
