No Kings 3: National Day of Action (March 29, 2026), Albuquerque-style…
… the continuation of a growing movement for people of goodwill to stand up and be counted against the insidious wave of authoritarianism that’s in the process of destroying so many things that truly make America great.
About the March 29, 2026 Protest (No Kings 3)

Words of Thanks
To the No Kings leadership, organizers, volunteers, and thousands of “ordinary” citizens who had the courage and generosity of spirit to show up in such an empowering, peaceful way. THIS is what real democracy and patriotism look like. It made me so proud of my fellow New Mexicans and proud to be an American.
Special Note about the Images Below
I made meaningful contact with everyone you see in these pictures, always asked if I had permission to photograph them and show their faces online. While most everyone courageously and proudly decided to do so, a good number of people were understandably less inclined to show their faces compared to the first No Kings protests.
Frank’s Event Report
The tone felt far more serious and justifiably angry than the previous two No Kings protests. While there was the fully expected ridicule of Trump, the tone of such ridicule was far more pointed and justifiably disdainful… not just of his shameful character, but also of his disastrous policies and actions.
Noteworthy themes: rejection of Trumpian values, anger at his cabinet, anger with congress… reclaiming the stars and stripes… release the Trump-Epstein files… justice for Rene Good and Alex Pretti… workers over billionaires… rational and humane immigration policy… and support for marginalized groups.
Bursting with inspiring messages of solidarity and justice and calls to action, delivered with a perfect blend of seriousness and good humor by people from every walk of life.

A Special Surprise
Prepare to be super jelly, folks.
Our surprise keynote speaker: Stacey Abrams. No kidding.
Alas, I never saw her (the crowd too large and terrain too flat), but I heard every word she said as the huge gathering went totally silent and got into some enthusiastic call and response action that focused on next steps and practical things that each of one us can do to build community, pressure congress, fight for justice, help our neighbors, and more.
What can you do?
Do what you can.

Well done. Compliments to the 8 million brave Americans.
Thanks for the moral support and for cheering us on, brother.
Wonderful photos, Frank!! Thanks so much for sharing them, and describing the overall tone and feelings of the protestors!! And how amazing that Stacy Abrams was there, as well!! Sounds like her keynote speech was quite captivating! What a perfect, meaningful day for everyone in Albuquerque! In Solidarity!
Anita! It’s so heartening to know that reasonable and decent people like you exist. Thanks for the kind words of appreciation… and yes, a major coup to have Stacey Abrams here to get us Burqueños all fired up. The great news is that I’m still fired up. Look our world! In Solidarity!
Wonderful. I wish all of you the very best in your fight against fascism.
Thanks a bunch for cheering us on, Anthony.
Congratulations to all of you. I hope to god you succeed. It’s staggering how a small group of people can seize power. Although of course a whole bunch of people voted for him. As the did for Hitler, Putin, the Iranian Theocracy and so on. And then the terror starts. I hope you can get the tyrants out and have a good clean up in the mid terms.
Staggering indeed, Anthony. Perhaps I’m overly optimistic, but I feel that the tide is turning and the authoritarians are worried. No a reason to take our foot off the gas, though. Thanks and cheers, lad.
Glad you heard Abrams, Frank. Lots of people where I live. The lead speaker emphasized the need to do more. Thanks for the reminder.
A major coup for ABQ to get Stacey Abrams. Inspired to doing more indeed, Gerald. Cheers!
This is marvelous, Frank. I love it all—from the thank you to your fellow participants at all levels to your closing encouragement to mobilize.
The signs are great, and several of them persuaded me that you CAN say a lot on a sign and not turn people off.
Interesting that you detected a more serious, angrier tone. Perhaps NM is in the vanguard because we are moving to a place where greater resolve will be needed.
Thank you for this thoughtful overview.
Yours in Solidarity,
Annie
Thanks as always, Annie, for the most kind words and resonance. People like you keep me keepin’ on. Alas, we still have lots of work to do. Thank you for your resolve and leadership. Your efforts mean a lot to me and I know I’m not alone. Big hug.
Yours in Solidarity!
